If you want to find the enumeration district (ED) in order to use the now available 1940 census, line up the arrow with the name and click. a box will appear. Enter the address's number and street name found in the telephone book. Click the blue button to find the enumeration district for this address. (you can use the map available to locate a cross or back street in order to narrow your search) There may be more than one choice.

This is part of a project created by Gaon National Jewish Museum in Vilnius and the Austrian Verein Gedenkdienst organization. The rabbi immigrated to New York from Goniadz/Goniondz, Poland (Bialystok area) There are some Israeli (Palestina) addresses and US; possibly some other areas as well.
