I was wondering if you can help me find Louis and Clara birth and marriage license and any other info about them and their parents. They were born and married in Kremenchug, Ukraine. Here's more info on them
Louis father name is listed as Morris Melnikoff
Louis mother is SURKIE (SARAH) MELNIKOFF
Name: Louis Melnikoff (Lazar Melnikow)
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: ABT 1864 Could be 1870
Location of Birth: • Kremenchug
Wife was Clara Liebowitz
Date of Marriage: Not Known
Location of Marriage: Kremenchug
Louis had 14 brothers and 1 Sister. Could also be 17.
Possible names of some of Louis siblings below
One of his brother names Simcha. Zayda's, Harris, Hermin. Sister name Bobel
Clara grave stone inscription says Chaya the daughter of Reb Yeshaya Dov.
One of Louis’ brothers was kidnapped and became an officer in the Russian army.
Louis and the brother saw each other but did not acknowledge it.

birth and marriage license

unfortunately none of the vital records survived. And the legend about kidnapping must be wrong as well, the last generation which experienced it were the Jews born around 1840. Not later. There is a voter record of Isaac Melnikov in 1912, but no names like Leibovitz at all.

Isn't this part an impossibility for Jews?

Supposedly “One of his brothers changed his religion and became a high officer in the Russian army. Another brother of Louis, Simcha, lived in Ekaterinoslav. Been also told that Georgy Malenkov is related to the family but not sure how yet. Maybe one of Louis brother son.

Malenkov and Melnikov are different family names.
Georgy Malenkov cannot be a descendant of jewish family.
